PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terron Cabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Biff Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal tries to clinch up but Webster circles away and keeps his distance.
Cabal tries a head kick but it misses.
Cabal fails in his attempt to clinch.
Webster avoids the head kick by Cabal.
Cabal lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Webster swats away the attempt to clinch by Cabal.
Webster shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cabal as he avoids it easily.
Webster misses with a takedown attempt - Cabal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cabal tries to keep at a distance but Webster has taken the fight into the clinch.

Webster successfully pulls guard.
Webster wants to sweep here but Cabal controlling him for the moment.
Cabal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Cabal trying to stand up but can't free himself from Webster's guard.

Webster looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Webster keeping moving, preventing Cabal from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cabal throwing strikes from guard but Webster blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Webster is on top in guard.
Webster stopping the sweep attempt from Cabal.

Cabal keeping busy on the bottom but Webster has passed one foot through into half guard.
Cabal is breathing heavily.
Still in half guard, Webster seems content to control.
Webster has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cabal's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Webster looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
BOOM! Webster connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cabal tries to reverse the position but Webster maintains control.
Webster looking to control and managing it successfully.
Webster moves to back control.

Webster is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Cabal has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Webster has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Cabal taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Webster doesn't care though - he's delighted!
