The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barron avoids the head kick by Johnson .
Barron appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Esteban Barron has been cut.
Johnson clobbers Barron with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Barron avoids them all with ease.
Johnson looks to land a combination but Barron avoids it well.
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Barron.
Barron blocks a low kick nicely.
Johnson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ramen Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Barron shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Barron was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barron moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson rattles Barron with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Barron tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Johnson dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Barron stiff and motionless on the mat!
