Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Kirkland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Havvik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Kirkland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Havvik!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Havvik closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kirkland to the mat! Kirkland manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kirkland being controlled here, momentarily.
Havvik trying to control but Kirkland is working from the bottom.
Havvik showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirkland can't keep his opponent in guard - Havvik advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Havvik is pressing down on Kirkland's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kirkland is holding on for now.

Havvik is working for a submission of some sort.
Havvik stalling.
Havvik is looking to stall here but Kirkland recovers full guard.
Havvik wants to control from the top but Kirkland keeps moving.
Havvik throws a big right hand that misses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Havvik seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Havvik wants to control from the top but Kirkland keeps moving.
Havvik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirkland swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Havvik advances to half guard.

Havvik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kirkland does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Havvik looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Havvik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kirkland does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Havvik is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kirkland is just riding it out for now. Havvik eventually gives up the hold.
Kirkland won't allow Havvik to pass to mount.
Havvik is trying to control the action in half guard but Kirkland is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kirkland is looking to control Havvik's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kirkland avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Havvik closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kirkland's guard.
Havvik forces his way into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Havvik shoots in and gets a takedown into Kirkland's guard.
Havvik is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kirkland working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Havvik's head.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Havvik. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Kirkland got a little sloppy there for a moment and Havvik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kirkland has managed to get both his arms back between Havvik's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirkland is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Kirkland is nestled in close to Havvik, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Havvik tries to get to full guard but Kirkland has control of the leg.

Havvik is breathing heavily.

Havvik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kirkland gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Havvik working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kirkland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kirkland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Havvik has momentary wrist control but Kirkland slips an elbow through the middle.
George Havvik has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kirkland stands up over Havvik, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kirkland is really struggling to control Havvik but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Havvik is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kirkland misses the shot to the body.

Havvik shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kirkland is trying to defend but Havvik finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Havvik tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kirkland knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jordan Kirkland will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Havvik takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Havvik has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Havvik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kirkland's guard.

Kirkland is not content to let Havvik control the position.
Kirkland is looking for a sweep. Havvik is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Havvik is just content to waste time from the top position. Kirkland takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Havvik wants to control from the top but Kirkland keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Havvik feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Havvik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirkland swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Havvik might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kirkland haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kirkland's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kirkland has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Havvik is trying to keep Kirkland in close.

I would just about give that final round to George Havvik.
I think Havvik has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
