And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Campion!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Campion does no damage.
Campion throws a head kick that half lands.
White throws the kick towards the body but Campion avoids it.

and White counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by White.
White looks to throw an elbow but misses.
White stalling against the cage.
Campion is trying to force a seperation but White has the dominant position.
White has Campion pressed against the cage, preventing Campion from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Campion is trying to break free.

White gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Campion wants to get back to striking at distance but White won't allow it.

Campion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Anthony Campion is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Campion tries to get back to half guard but can't.

White stands up and beckons Campion to his feet.

White rushes Campion and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
White lands on the inside with an uppercut.
White is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Campion to keep the fight standing.

Campion breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Campion connects with a high kick.
Campion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

White instigates a clinch.

White turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

White tries for a kimura but Campion is defending well.

White wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Campion, who protects the arm well.

White tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no White has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Check out the look on White's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

White is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Campion is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Campion is pushing White's head away, looking to escape. White manages to hold on to the position though.
White could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

White wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Campion, who protects the arm well.

White is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Campion knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

and White counters with a nice double leg into guard.

White thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Campion looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but White puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

White postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Campion to stand up.

Campion misses with a series of wild punches.
White is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Campion.
Campion tries a head kick but it misses.
Campion lands with a kick to the temple. White shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Anthony Campion seems to be getting the better of the standup.

White closes the distance and pushes Campion back into the cage.

Campion swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and White decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Campion's guard.
Campion avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

White drops back looking for a leg! Campion is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Campion manages to kick White off! White jumps back into Campion's guard.

White drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and White jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Campion looking to hit a scissor sweep but White is one step ahead there.
White postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

White gets to his feet. Campion looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

White looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Campion is trying to stand back up but White is controlling him
Campion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
White thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Campion's head.

White is trying to work for a kimura but Campion is defending well.

White is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Campion is just riding it out for now. White eventually gives up the hold.

Campion is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and White has latched onto it... Big trouble! White pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Campion is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from White!
