PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Krakk Samuek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey ONeil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuek comes to the cage accompanied by Ice Cream. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Mickey ONeil enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Krakk Samuek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mickey ONeil!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samuek fails with a takedown attempt.
ONeil bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Samuek checks the leg kick nicely there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Samuek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Samuek clinches with his opponent.
ONeil wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Samuek has him pressed against the cage.
ONeil on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
ONeil lands a shoulder strike.
Samuek jumps guard but ONeil stands there with Samuek around his waist. Samuek gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
ONeil wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Samuek is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krakk Samuek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Samuek prevents ONeil from breaking the clinch.
ONeil lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Samuek tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Samuek changes levels and goes for a takedown here. ONeil fights it off and pushes away nicely.
ONeil lands a left and a right that sends Samuek crashing to the canvas! ONeil dives into mount looking to finish!


Samuek is rocked!


It looks like Krakk Samuek has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
ONeil content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ONeil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Samuek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Let's hope that ONeil has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Samuek keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
ONeil controlling the position easily from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mickey ONeil just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
ONeil pivots, looking for a leg kick but Samuek is out of range and ONeil settles back down.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A jab from ONeil misses.
ONeil tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Samuek checks the leg kick nicely there.
ONeil lands a body shot.
Samuek is breathing heavily.
ONeil misses with a jab, cross combination.
Good standup being displayed there by ONeil as he connects with a hook.
Samuek moves out of range of the body kick.
Samuek checks a low kick from ONeil.
A combination from ONeil does no damage.
ONeil lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
ONeil will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
ONeil throws a series of strikes that have Samuek backpedaling.
Samuek looks up at the clock. Bad move! ONeil lands a right hand from hell, dropping Samuek. ONeil pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey ONeil!
