PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leon Brewski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Fireworks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brewski has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Todd Fireworks is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fireworks has Brewski up against the cage in a clinch.

Fireworks has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Brewski regains guard immediately.
Fireworks wants to stand but Brewski has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fireworks decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brewski, up you get!

Fireworks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fireworks has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Brewski works to full guard.

Fireworks wants to pass the guard but Brewski is keeping the position.

Fireworks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fireworks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fireworks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brewski manages to get himself to full guard.

Fireworks decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Brewski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fireworks fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fireworks cracks Brewski with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Fireworks has hold of one of Brewski's legs. Brewski is fighting the takedown attempt but Fireworks gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Brewski stuffs the takedown.
Fireworks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fireworks tries for a takedown but Brewski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Fireworks is fighting to break Brewski's control of his arms but Brewski is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Fireworks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fireworks is looking to control Brewski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fireworks avoid being mounted?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fireworks strikes from the bottom but Brewski uses the opportunity to move to side control.

Todd Fireworks has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fireworks connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Brewski to escape the position.

Fireworks goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brewski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fireworks but great work by Brewski.

I've got Fireworks winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
