Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Monkey Business!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rusty Driver!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Business goes for a double leg but Driver avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Driver continues to drive forward.
Driver connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Business's hands.


It looks like Monkey Business has been cut.
Business has his takedown stuffed
and Driver counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Driver takes a swing at Business's ribcage but misses.
Business shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Driver as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monkey Business. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Business closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Driver quickly recovers to half guard.
Business wants to lay and pray for a moment but Driver keeps working.
Business will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Business is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Driver defends it well.
Business uses his free foot to push down on Driver's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Driver.

Business looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Business looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Driver is trying to stand.
Driver takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Business is working for a guillotine from mount but Driver frees his head quite easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Driver can do anything to dispel that myth.

Driver defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Business.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Business pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Business with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Driver is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Driver is squirming around, avoiding Business's attempts to control the action.

Business goes for an armbar but Driver turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Driver.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Business is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Driver trying to control but Business is working from the bottom.

Business is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Driver rolls with it to try and escape but Business cranks on the arm and Driver is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Monkey Business!
After winning the bout, Monkey Business thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Rusty Driver had this to say: 'Sun Shines on a dogs ass every once in a while'.
