The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wendl Jnr closes the distance and clinches.
Wendl Jnr tries to pull guard but Johns holds him up against the cage and eventually Wendl Jnr drops back down to his feet.
Wendl Jnr blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Johns can't find room to land a body shot as Wendl Jnr controls the action.
Johns really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wendl Jnr! Johns is out on his feet! Wendl Jnr rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Johns is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Johns is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
