The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowling gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Franklin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rowling slips under a jab.
Franklin misses the shot to the body.
Franklin cracks a nice hook into Rowling's ribs.

Rowling closes this distance looking for a takedown but Franklin circles away.

Franklin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rowling's hands.

Frank Franklin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Franklin steps into range and cracks Rowling with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Rowling flops backwards and Franklin dives into his guard looking to finish!

Rowling is rocked!

Franklin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rowling is proving hard to escape from.

Franklin stands up from Rowling's guard - Franklin perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rowling seems to have recovered his senses.
Franklin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rowling.

Franklin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rowling doesn't seem bothered though.
Franklin closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Rowling out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
