Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Reulas!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bonner gets caught flat footed, as Reulas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bonner wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Reulas manages to pass to side control.

Reulas content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Bonner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reulas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bonner sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alexandre Reulas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Reulas drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bonner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bonner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bonner!


Bonner goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Reulas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bonner but great work by Reulas.
Reulas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Reulas drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bonner manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Reulas has Bonner in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Alexandre Reulas is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Reulas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bonner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Reulas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
