The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Djemal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Djemal lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Djemal goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Art Acevedo has been cut.

Djemal shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Acevedo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Acevedo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Djemal wants to stand but Acevedo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Djemal shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Acevedo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Djemal is working away from the top position though.

Djemal goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Acevedo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Djemal but great work by Acevedo.

Djemal is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Acevedo's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Acevedo! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Djemal has tapped! This one is allllll over!
