Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Acero Puno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Spitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Acero Puno has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puno fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spitz, pushing him back against the cage.
Spitz looking to throw knees to the head but Puno is blocking nicely.
Spitz wants a takedown.
Spitz fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Puno escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spitz tries to clinch

and Puno counters by moving into the clinch.
Puno lands a nice knee to the body.
Puno avoiding damage as Spitz throws knees to the body.

Puno jumps into guard, dragging Spitz to the mat.

Spitz is looking to stand up but Puno won't let him.
Puno is trying to keep Spitz in close.
Spitz scoring with some ground and pound.
Puno might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Puno could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Spitz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Puno is keeping the position for now.

Spitz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Puno dives on top into guard.
Puno postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Puno passes Spitz's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spitz tries to roll over but Puno keeps him under control.

Puno is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spitz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Puno.
Puno prevents Spitz from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spitz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Puno wants to control but Spitz is keeping him busy.

Puno is breathing heavily.
Spitz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Puno wants to take a breather but Spitz is having none of it.
Puno has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Spitz clobbers Puno with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Spitz has his takedown stuffed
and Puno counters with a head kick. That will keep Spitz thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Acero Puno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustavo Spitz.

Spitz closes the distance but Puno moves to the side

and Puno counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Spitz pulls guard successfully.

Puno is posturing up here but Spitz has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Puno tries to roll out but it's too tight and Puno has to tap! Slick submission there by Spitz!
