Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladislav Yurevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khal Drogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khal Drogo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Vladislav Yurevich will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Drogo moves to clinch but Yurevich breaks away

and Yurevich counters with a shoot takedown. Drogo fights it but they end up in guard.

Yurevich drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Drogo dives on top into guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Drogo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Yurevich has his foot on Drogo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drogo works his way back into a safe position though.

Drogo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Yurevich takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Yurevich creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Yurevich is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Drogo can't fight it off and eventually Yurevich manages to take the fight to the floor. Drogo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Khal Drogo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Vladislav Yurevich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Drogo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yurevich defends it easily.
