Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Hamilton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitts throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Pitts moves into the clinch.
A right hand to the body from Hamilton.

Hamilton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hamilton shoots in but no luck this time.
Pitts really is a fat lump.
Pitts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hamilton.
Pitts throws a series of punches but Hamilton avoids them all with ease.
Hamilton is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pitts with a body shot.
Hamilton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hamilton dives in and grabs Pitts's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pitts pushes down on Hamilton's head and hops out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hamilton wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pitts is now in half guard.
Pitts thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Pitts with the ground and pound but Hamilton uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Hamilton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pitts manages to get himself to full guard.

Hamilton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pitts swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hamilton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Pitts has managed to clinch.
Hamilton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pitts walks away with a smile on his face. Hamilton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Pitts is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hamilton can do to turn this around?

Pitts has Hamilton pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pitts pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hamilton tumbling to the mat - Pitts dives into Hamilton's guard.
Hamilton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pitts manages to pass to side control.

Hamilton pushes Pitts away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pitts gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Mark Hamilton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Elden Pitts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pitts connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hamilton some visible discomfort.
