The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnaron closes this distance looking for a takedown but O'Neil circles away.
O'Neil dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and O'Neil counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
O'Neil misses with a body shot.
Cian O'Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O'Neil scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

O'Neil throws a hook but Magnaron avoids it easily.

O'Neil swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Magnaron.
A momentary lapse in concentration from O'Neil enables Magnaron to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. O'Neil manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Magnaron wants to control from the top but O'Neil keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
O'Neil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magnaron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
O'Neil wants to stand up but Magnaron is controlling him.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Magnaron stands and throws O'Neil's legs to the side, diving into side control.

O'Neil is squirming around, avoiding Magnaron's attempts to control the action.
O'Neil stops Magnaron from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Magnaron working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. O'Neil turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Magnaron off and cradles O'Neil's limp body as Magnaron celebrates with his corner.
