The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Binay.
Kush fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Binay looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kush throws a series of strikes that have Binay backpedaling.
Binay throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kush's waist but Kush gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Binay off to one side.
Kush lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kush fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kush throws a combination that misses

and Binay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kush won't be happy with that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kush dodges the ground and pound from Binay.
Kush managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Binay.

Binay is trying to get an arm triangle but Kush is defending well.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Kush gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kush can do anything to dispel that myth.

Binay has control of Kush's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kush regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kush is looking to get to half guard.

Binay is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kush has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Binay prevents Kush from getting the reversal.

Binay is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kush can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Binay throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kush because Binay loaded up on that one.

Binay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kush tries to get back to half guard but can't.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Binay working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kush turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Binay off and cradles Kush's limp body as Binay celebrates with his corner.

Rudy Mar Binay tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
