Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bastian Nokia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 57 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bastian Nokia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Parker!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker sizes up Nokia with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nokia takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Parker tries a head kick but it misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Parker. Nokia does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nokia takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Parker moves into range and clinches up with Nokia.

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Parker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Parker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Parker darts in and clinches Nokia up against the cage.
Nokia has Parker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Parker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Parker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Parker closes the distance and clinches.

Parker manages to break the clinch.

Parker forces Nokia back against the cage and clinches.
Nokia tries to pull guard but Parker won't allow it.
Parker lands with a right to the head.
Parker pressing his opponent against the cage.
Nokia changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Parker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bastian Nokia. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Parker misses with a body shot.
A jab from Parker misses.
Nokia throws a quick counter head kick but Parker was just out of range.
Peter Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parker works Nokia's body with a nice hook.

Parker lands a head kick. Nokia smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Parker drives through and clinches with Nokia against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Parker breaks from the clinch.
Parker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nokia tries to counter with a takedown but Parker is quick to defend against it.

Nokia gets tackled into the cage by Parker. Parker maintains the clinch.

Parker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A swing and a miss from Parker.
Parker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parker moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Parker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nokia appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Parker moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nokia has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Parker finds it's way round the side to connect with Nokia's head.

Parker clinches up against the cage.

Parker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nokia tries to keep at a distance but Parker has taken the fight into the clinch.

Parker rushes Nokia and presses him up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Parker lands a hook to the side of the head.
Nokia fails to pull guard.
Parker lands a knee to the body.
Nokia drops down looking for an ankle pick but Parker pulls his leg out and moves away.
Parker throws a head kick but Nokia moves out of range.
Parker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Parker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nokia backs up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Parker dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Parker rushes Nokia and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Parker throws a leg kick which misses Nokia's front leg but catches the back leg as Nokia tries to avoid it.
Nokia takes one to the side of the head.
Parker getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Parker catches Nokia with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A head kick misses from Parker.
Nokia takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nokia, pushing him back against the cage.

Parker manages to break the clinch.
Parker lands a head kick. Nokia smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Parker lands a lovely overhand right.
Peter Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A head kick misses from Parker.
Nokia half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Nokia uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Parker.
Parker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nokia attempts a counter takedown but Parker avoids it well and moves away.
Parker throws a lazy head kick
and Nokia counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Parker goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Parker lands a head shot.
Nokia swats away the attempt to clinch by Parker.
It looked like Nokia was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Parker's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Parker duly obliges.

Parker connects with a nice looking jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker throws an overhand right that lands on Nokia's shoulder, as Nokia tries to avoid the shot.
Nokia went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Parker lands a glancing blow to the side of Nokia's head.
Parker takes a swing at Nokia's ribcage but misses.

Parker rushes Nokia and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nokia walks forward, straight into a front kick from Parker.
Parker connects with an inside leg kick.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nokia thinks about countering with a head kick.
Parker works Nokia's body with a nice hook.
Nokia sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

A cross from Parker lands.
Parker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Parker moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Parker misses with a head kick.
Parker misses with a double jab.

Parker moves into the clinch.

Parker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nokia's head backwards.
Parker scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Parker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nokia half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Parker.
Nokia chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Parker can pounce on him.
Nokia avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Parker scores with a one two! Nokia had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Parker misses with a straight left.

Parker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Parker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Parker drops Nokia with a left and a right! Oh, Nokia is hurt - Parker dives into side control looking to finish!


Nokia is rocked!
Parker is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Nokia's shoulder. That is not cool.
Oh Nokia is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nokia seems to have got his legs back now.

Parker stands up.
Parker lands with a kick to the temple. Nokia shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Nokia on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Parker jabs Nokia to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Peter Parker seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Parker clinches up against the cage.
Parker lands a right hand.

Nokia breaks from the clinch.
A slapping leg kick lands for Parker.

Parker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Parker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Parker lands a high kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Parker moves into range and clinches up with Nokia.
Nokia wants to break the clinch but can't.

Nokia is trying to push Parker away but Parker has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Parker jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Parker throws a head kick that misses.
Parker thumps Nokia with a low kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parker clobbers Nokia with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nokia moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nokia takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bastian Nokia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Peter Parker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Parker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Parker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
