Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Drake Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe jabs Johnson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Johnson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Doe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Johnson scrambles back to his feet.
Doe throws a shot to the body.
Doe lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Doe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doe's waist but Doe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Doe lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Johnson moves forwards but Doe connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Doe has taken the fight into the clinch.

Doe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drake Johnson.
Johnson wants the takedown. Doe is fighting it off but Johnson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Doe's guard against the cage.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Johnson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Doe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Doe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Doe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doe has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Doe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard.

Doe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Doe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Doe leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Doe was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Doe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
