Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darrin Burt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Palkire Hardajt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardajt tries for a takedown but Burt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice body kick there by Burt.
Hardajt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hardajt lands in his opponent's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hardajt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hardajt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Burt throws a big counter combination but Hardajt scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Darrin Burt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Palkire Hardajt.
Hardajt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hardajt somewhat.

Nice uppercut lands for Burt. That snapped Hardajt's head back.
Palkire Hardajt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hardajt tries to clinch up
and Burt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hardajt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Burt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hardajt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
No joy there for Burt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hardajt dives in and grabs Burt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Burt pushes down on Hardajt's head and hops out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hardajt.
Burt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Burt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hardajt on his heels. He'll look to pass Hardajt's guard now, I'm sure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hardajt holds on and takes a little breather.

Burt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hardajt closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burt quickly recovers to half guard.

Hardajt is just content to waste time from the top position. Burt takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Burt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hardajt can do to turn this around?
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Burt is on top in guard.
Hardajt pushes Burt off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Burt's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Burt duly obliges.

Hardajt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Burt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Burt is trying to escape the position but Hardajt is controlling the position.

Burt reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Burt taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hardajt!
