Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sammy Gravano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Delamitri!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gravano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Gravano drives through with a takedown into guard.
Delamitri looking for a sweep. Not yet Delamitri, not yet.

Delamitri working for a triangle but Gravano defends it easily.
Delamitri looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Delamitri can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gravano works over Delamitri with some ground and pound from guard.
Gravano landing with the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delamitri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Delamitri is trying to control the position but Gravano postures up.
Delamitri is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gravano wants to pass the guard but Delamitri is keeping the position.

Delamitri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gravano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Delamitri wants to sweep here but Gravano controlling him for the moment.

Gravano is working Delamitri over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Gravano sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Delamitri is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gravano is working Delamitri over with some ground and pound from side control.
Gravano is staying tight to Delamitri's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The ground and pound from Gravano seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Delamitri is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Delamitri is trying to control Gravano's posture but Gravano avoids it.
Delamitri tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gravano wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Gravano postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Gravano tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gravano has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gravano cracks Delamitri with a big elbow.
Gravano scores with punches from side control.
Delamitri is looking for a sweep.
Gravano grinds an elbow into Delamitri's temple.
Delamitri gets back to half guard.
Gravano is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Delamitri gets full guard.
Gravano scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Gravano postures up and lands a big shot to Delamitri's brow.
Gravano sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Delamitri's guard.
We've been hearing that Gravano has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Delamitri tries to get to full guard but Gravano has control of the leg.
Gravano thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Delamitri's head.
Gravano looks to score some points with some ground and pound.


Delamitri is rocked!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Delamitri is still in real trouble! Can Gravano finish him?
Gravano lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Delamitri! More strikes land and this one is all over! Gravano jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sammy Gravano!
A relieved looking Sammy Gravano thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
