The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Witt dives in for a single leg takedown but Vitale sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Vitale swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Witt throws a right and a left that Vitale avoids nicely.
Vitale shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Witt is trying to defend but Vitale finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Witt makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Vitale bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
