Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny McCoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Country Grace!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy moves out of range as Grace strikes.
Grace gets off balance looking for a body kick
and McCoy counters with a nice uppercut.
McCoy avoids the head kick by Grace.
McCoy went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Grace manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McCoy on his heels. He'll look to pass McCoy's guard now, I'm sure.
Grace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCoy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McCoy tries to kick Grace off but Grace keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grace looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McCoy kicks off Grace and gets to his feet.
Grace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Grace is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McCoy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
McCoy tries to escape but Grace is in control.
Grace works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Country Grace dominated that round.
That's time! McCoy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Nice straight punches there by McCoy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McCoy.

Grace throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCoy was covering up waiting for the punch and Grace finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Country Grace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCoy is fending him off so far but Grace persists. Nope, McCoy circles away and we're back to standing.
McCoy seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Grace counters with a nice kick to the body.
McCoy swings for the body but Grace moves out of range.
Grace looks for the body kick but McCoy saw that one coming.
McCoy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Grace.
Grace shoots in for a takedown but McCoy shows good takedown defense.
McCoy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McCoy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCoy manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

McCoy blocks the elbow strike.
Grace tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and McCoy avoids it.
McCoy manages to break the clinch.

Grace looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McCoy went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Grace scores with a nice right hand.
Grace has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McCoy finds it's way round the side to connect with Grace's head.

Grace shoots in looking for a takedown but McCoy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grace's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McCoy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McCoy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Grace fails with the takedown
and McCoy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That was a close second round but I would say that Danny McCoy will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Grace shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Grace was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Country Grace has got the better of the ground game so far.
McCoy pushes Grace away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Grace gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
McCoy throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Grace shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McCoy sprawls well. McCoy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grace gets slowly back to his feet.

Grace goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McCoy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Grace's guard! Nice work there by McCoy!
Grace tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McCoy wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Grace's closed guard. He's half up but Grace has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Grace pivots and extends the arm, McCoy falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Grace! Well done that man!
