The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Steele manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Steele circles away from the clinch attempt.

Steele gets tackled into the cage by Destro. Destro maintains the clinch.
Destro misses with a knee strike.

Steele breaks from the clinch.
Destro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steele paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Destro fails in his attempt to clinch.
Steele feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Destro tries to close the distance and clinch but Steele swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Destro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Steele manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
As Destro looks to move away, Steele throws a big counter combo but Destro just gets out of the way.

Destro lands a big head kick that sends Steele tumbling to the mat! Destro takes a step backwards and waves Steele back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Steele is rocked!

It looks like Gerardo Steele has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steele drops his hands momentarily and Destro needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Steele just on the top of the head. Steele drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Steele - he's done!
