Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Juan Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eka Jagur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eka Jagur has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Juan Clayton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Juan Clayton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eka Jagur !
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clayton scores with a body shot.

Clayton takes the fight into the clinch.

Jagur pulls guard effortlessly.
Clayton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Clayton gets to his feet - Jagur follows without any prompting.
Clayton misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clayton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Clayton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jagur defends well.

Jagur got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clayton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jagur has managed to get both his arms back between Clayton's legs - danger averted.
Clayton is trying to keep Jagur in close.
Jagur working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clayton has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jagur is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Clayton.
Jagur creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Clayton sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Clayton is pushing Jagur 's head away, looking to escape. Jagur manages to hold on to the position though.
Clayton can't do much from the bottom here.

Jagur has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jagur shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jagur was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Clayton wants to control but Jagur postures up.
Clayton is not content to let Jagur control the position.

Clayton can't do much from the bottom here.

Jagur moves into full mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Clayton reaches up to try and control the position but Jagur seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Clayton rolls and tries to escape and now Jagur has his back!

Clayton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jagur , pushing him back against the cage.

Clayton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Clayton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Clayton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jagur shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Clayton napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Clayton wants to control but Jagur postures up.
Clayton is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Clayton is controlling Jagur 's trapped leg to prevent Jagur from advancing to side control.
Clayton tries to kick Jagur off but Jagur keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jagur stops Clayton from getting back to his feet.

Clayton gets caught flat footed, as Jagur shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Clayton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Clayton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jagur takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Jagur darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Clayton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jagur pulls his head out easily.

Jagur seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clayton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Clayton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jagur can do to turn this around?

Jagur is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Clayton's half guard.
Jagur is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Clayton!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jagur jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Clayton is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Clayton and Jagur has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
