The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inshimarino lands with a thumping leg kick.
Valentine dodges the punch combination from Inshimarino.
Valentine tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
No joy there for Inshimarino, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Valentine throws a leg kick that is checked
and Inshimarino counters with a straight right hand.
Inshimarino throws the left hand but Valentine avoids the punch easily.
Valentine keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Valentine on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Valentine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Inshimarino manages to avoid it.
Inshimarino throws a right hand that Valentine ducks under and follows up with a left that Valentine also avoids with ease.
Inshimarino slips a jab from Valentine.
Inshimarino misses with a double jab.
Valentine tries to score with a low kick but Inshimarino moves his leg out of the way.
Valentine misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Inshimarino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Valentine counters with a takedown into side control.

Inshimarino explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Inshimarino stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Inshimarino wants it to stay on the feet.

Valentine with the counter takedown but Inshimarino avoids it easily.

An attempted straight right counter from Inshimarino misses the target.
Inshimarino walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Valentine checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Valentine counters with a shoot takedown. Inshimarino fights it but they end up in guard.
Inshimarino not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Valentine lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Inshimarino pulls Valentine in close to prevent any damage.
Valentine sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Inshimarino's guard.
Valentine lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Inshimarino on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Inshimarino is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Valentine passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Inshimarino!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Valentine lands a heavy elbow.
Inshimarino really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Inshimarino tries to hold on but Valentine pushes him away.

Valentine postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Inshimarino out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Valentine goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Leon Valentine decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
