The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaah fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Imran Shaah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shaah tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Asaki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Shaah shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Asaki pinned against the cage. Asaki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Asaki swats away the attempt to clinch by Shaah.
Shaah will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sinya Asaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Imran Shaah.
Shaah looks for a takedown but Asaki sprawls well.
Asaki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Shaah has hold of Asaki's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Asaki manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Asaki takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Shaah's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
