Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edvin Rinne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oko Poli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edvin Rinne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Oko Poli!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinne lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Horrible takedown attempt by Poli or perhaps it was just good defense by Rinne, which made it look bad.
Rinne scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Good exchange - Rinne coming out on top.
Poli shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Rinne to counter with a crisp jab.
Poli goes for a double leg but Rinne avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rinne continues to drive forward.
Edvin Rinne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oko Poli.
Poli has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Poli there as he acknowledges the shot.
Poli fails with the takedown
and Rinne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Poli misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
It looked like Rinne wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Poli gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Poli misses with a takedown attempt

and Rinne counters with a right hand that sends Poli tumbling to the canvas! Can Rinne finish him? He dives into Poli's guard looking to do just that!
Rinne tries to free his leg and advance position but Poli is retaining full guard.

Poli had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rinne defends it easily.
Poli looks winded!

Poli has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rinne can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Poli seems to have recovered his senses.

Poli has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rinne is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Poli.
Rinne tries to move into full mount but can't pass Poli's legs.

Rinne tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rinne has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Poli looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rinne working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Poli is looking to reverse the position.
Poli manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rinne definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Poli works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rinne works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Poli is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rinne's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rinne's back!

Poli is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rinne knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rinne for a finish.

Rinne tries to escape the position.
Well, with Poli on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Rinne is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Poli is looking for a rear naked choke here but Rinne reverses the position brilliantly into Poli's guard!

Poli looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Rinne wants to take a breather but Poli is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edvin Rinne dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Rinne paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Poli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rinne pinned against the cage. Rinne gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oko Poli is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rinne tests Poli's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Poli looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rinne is fending him off so far but Poli persists. Nope, Rinne circles away and we're back to standing.
Rinne scores with a body shot.
Rinne connects with a body shot that sends Poli's belly button to the back.
Rinne lands a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poli fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Poli doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Rinne counter with a right hand.
Poli dives in and grabs Rinne's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rinne pushes down on Poli's head and hops out.
Poli is breathing heavily.
Poli tries to move into range but Rinne moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Rinne connects with a right hand. Poli shakes it off.
Rinne misses with an uppercut.
No luck for Poli with that takedown attempt.
Rinne scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Poli shoots in for a takedown but Rinne shows good takedown defense.

and Rinne counters with a big right hand! Oh Poli is in trouble here! Rinne follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
