Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, RJ Rodgers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Rodgers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rodgers circles away.
RJ Rodgers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergio Gracie.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rodgers as he avoids it easily.
Rodgers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rodgers goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Sergio Gracie has been cut.
Rodgers misses with a series of wild punches.
Gracie scores with a nice body kick.
Gracie misses with the combination.
Gracie misses with an uppercut. Rodgers saw that one coming.
Rodgers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gracie goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rodgers prevents it.
Rodgers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gracie looks gassed!
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodgers tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodgers to the ground. Rodgers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rodgers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
Rodgers throws out a powerful jab.
Gracie is rocked!

Rodgers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie has a takedown stuffed.
Rodgers has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie is trying to drag Rodgers to the mat but Rodgers just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rodgers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rodgers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rodgers looking to control but Gracie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Gracie takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Gracie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Rodgers is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gracie can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rodgers looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
BOOM! Rodgers connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gracie is in a horrible position here. Rodgers smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Rodgers looking to control but Gracie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rodgers lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gracie is looking to improve his position but Rodgers isn't that keen on the idea.
Rodgers with shots to the head and body - Gracie looks very uncomfortable down there.
Rodgers is in the full mount, landing strikes.
BOOM! Rodgers connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Gracie is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rodgers looking for a guillotine from mount but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie is trying desperately to improve position.
Gracie tries to hold on but Rodgers postures up.
Gracie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gracie is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rodgers pulls his head out easily.
Gracie looking for submissions off his back.
Rodgers not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rodgers thows a huge punch but Gracie dodges it nicely.
Gracie gets full guard.
Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rodgers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gracie throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rodgers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rodgers is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sergio Gracie will probably get the nod.

Rodgers stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Rodgers keeps the fight on the outside.

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Rodgers keeps moving.
Gracie throws a strike but Rodgers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rodgers won't allow Gracie to sweep him here.
Rodgers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sergio Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rodgers avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rodgers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodgers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rodgers's guard.

Gracie is keen to just control but Rodgers is a slippery customer.
Gracie is looking for a kimura here.
Rodgers is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rodgers is trying to stand up here but Gracie is controlling him well.
Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rodgers defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - Rodgers is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!
