Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Lankari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and German Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lankari comes to the ring accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are working up against the ropes. Lankari manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the ropes.
Lankari gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Valdez regains guard.
Lankari lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Lankari is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Valdez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Valdez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Valdez showed some decent athleticism there.

Valdez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lankari tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Valdez is in Lankari's guard.
The fighters are working up against the ropes. Lankari manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the ropes.
Valdez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lankari regains guard immediately.
Valdez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lankari holds on and takes a little breather.
Lankari's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lankari is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lankari pushes a forearm under Valdez's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Valdez is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
