Westbrook darts in trying to clinch

and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones.
Westbrook is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Westbrook can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Westbrook looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there.

Westbrook working for submissions but it's allowed Jones to get to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones wants to control but Westbrook is keeping him busy.

Jones is looking to advance position but Westbrook won't allow it.
Westbrook has a hand on Jones's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jones takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Westbrook tries to control Jones's body but Jones pushes him off. Westbrook squirms to his side and now Jones has his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Westbrook is trying to control his opponent's hands. Eventually Jones gets his hands free and sinks in a rear naked choke. For a while it looks like Westbrook is going to survive but after struggling valiantly, he eventually has to tap out! Jones is your winner!
