Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akiro Sata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Petrycki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sata comes to the cage accompanied by Onward to Victory!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bogdan Petrycki!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrycki misses with a wild body shot.

Sata gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sata is trying to drag Petrycki to the mat but Petrycki just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sata is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Sata is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Petrycki is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

I was talking to Sata's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Sata lands a shoulder strike.
Sata is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Sata wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Petrycki has him pressed against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Petrycki scores with a nice short uppercut.

Sata tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Petrycki throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Satas head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Petrycki misses with a hook from the clinch.
Sata tries for a takedown but Petrycki manages to get underhooks.

Petrycki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Petrycki lands with a straight right. Sata didn't see that one coming.
Petrycki tests Sata's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Sata is rocked!
Petrycki is looking to clinch but Sata is avoiding it.
Oh Sata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sata ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petrycki moves away.
Petrycki misses with a straight right.
Petrycki misses with a body shot.
Petrycki lands a right hook to the body.
Bogdan Petrycki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Whack! Petrycki lands a heavy head kick that drops Sata. The ref tackles Petrycki to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sata was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Bogdan Petrycki!

Bogdan Petrycki took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I knew I was ready for this. My manager, my trainers, and my teammates made sure of that. Now it's time to defend it. We move on. Thank you.'.
