Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patricio Freire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pyryx Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fuel and Fire kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freire throws a shot from downtown. Dall moves away and avoids it.
Dall stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Dall looks to land a combination but Freire avoids it well.
Freire stuns Dall with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Freire doesn't manage to clinch there - Dall circles away.
Dall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dall scores with a hook.
Dall cracks the inside of Freire's front leg.
Dall scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Dall throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Patricio Freire has been cut.
Freire closes the distance but Dall moves to the side
and Dall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Freire takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Freire ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dall moves away.
Freire throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dall connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dall will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Freire shoots in but no luck this time.

and Dall counters with a nice leg kick.

Freire scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Dall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Freire rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Freire clinches.

Dall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dall throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Freire.
Dall lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Pyryx Dall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Freire fails with the takedown
and Dall counters with a big head kick but Freire shrugs it off.
Freire lands a body shot.
Dall tries to bum rush Freire with a series of wild strikes but Freire uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Freire changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Dall bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Freire slips a jab and a cross from Dall.
Freire misses the shot to the body.
Dall scores with a body shot.
Dall scores with a nice strike.
A looping hook to the body misses from Freire. Dall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Freire throws a body punch but Dall moves out of range.
A jab from Dall finds it's way through Freire's defenses.

Freire gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dall lands a shot to the body.

Dall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Freire takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dall throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Freire sees it coming and avoids it easily.

It looks like Pyryx Dall has been cut.
Freire blocks a head kick by Dall.
Freire walks into a jab.
Dall connects with a high kick.
Freire wants to clinch.

Freire has taken the fight to the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dall lands a hook to the side of the head.
Freire misses with the head strike.
Dall lands a hook that snaps the head of Freire backwards.

Freire takes a swing at Dall's ribcage but misses.
That kick from Dall tenderised Freire's leg. Freire is trying to keep his angry face on.

We've been informed that Dall has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

and Dall counters with a three punch combo that has Freire backing up. Freire nods at Dall to acknowledge the strikes.
Patricio Freire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freire misses with a looping right.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Freire wants to clinch.
Dall throws out a counter right but Freire avoids it with no problem.
Dall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dall takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Dall fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Freire manages to avoid it.
Freire scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dall doesn't seem bothered though.

Pyryx Dall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dall thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Freire tries to clinch up but Dall circles away and keeps his distance.
Dall throws a head kick that misses.

Freire bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dall can't do much from the bottom here.

Dall gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Dall tries to get to full guard but Freire has control of the leg.

Freire looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Freire is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dall is just riding it out for now. Freire eventually gives up the hold.
Dall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Freire is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dall sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Freire looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dall gets back to full guard.
Freire stands and throws Dall's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Dall is trying to control Freire's posture but Freire avoids it.
Dall tries to bench press Freire off him but Freire keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freire goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dall rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Freire's guard! Nice work there by Dall!
Dall wants to control from the top but Freire keeps moving.
Dall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Freire wants to sweep here but Dall controlling him for the moment.

Freire working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dall controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Dall trying to control the position from guard on top but Freire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Freire tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Freire has his foot on Dall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dall works his way back into a safe position though.

Dall misses the jab.
Dall lands a two punch combo.
A slapping body kick lands there for Dall.
Freire takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Freire fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dall, pushing him back against the cage.

Dall manages to break the clinch.
A big left from Freire misses.
Freire throws out a powerful jab.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dall.

Freire closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dall's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Freire tries to free his leg and advance position but Dall is retaining full guard.
Freire postures up.
Dall looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dall is on top in guard.

Freire has his foot on Dall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dall works his way back into a safe position though.

Freire wants to sweep here but Dall controlling him for the moment.

Dall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dall wants to stand but Freire is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Freire is trying to escape the mount but Dall keeps good control and instead manages to take Freire's back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Freire manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dall's guard. Nice work there by Freire.
Dall is adopting a defensive guard.
Freire stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dall is controlling Freire's posture.

Dall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dall is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Dall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Freire is fighting to break Dall's control of his arms but Dall is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dall is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Dall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Freire defends it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dall working a defensive guard but Freire passes into half guard.
