Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
Penn takes a kick to the side of the head.
Penn scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Damien Jones has been cut.
Jones moves forwards but Penn connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones is looking to clinch but Penn is avoiding it.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones misses with the combination.
Penn throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Penn throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
Jones moves away from the strike by Penn.
Penn loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Jones moves into the clinch.

Jones keeps control of Penn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jones is looking to clinch but Penn is avoiding it.
Penn throws a one two combo.
Jones clinches up with Penn and pushes him back against the cage.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jones jumps into guard, dragging Penn to the mat.
Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Penn is proving a slippery customer.

Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.
Penn wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position.
Penn trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Penn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Penn wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Penn misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming.
Jones keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Penn.
Penn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Damien Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Jones wants to slow Penn down by chopping away at his legs.
Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Penn to score with a decent uppercut.
Penn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Penn as he jumps to the side.
Jones slips a straight right by Penn.

Jab, jab by Penn - just one landing.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Penn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Penn throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Penn lands with a cross.
Penn bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Penn connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Jones! He's out on his feet! Penn rushes in and drops Jones with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
