Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave McIntosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samuel David!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David throws a leg kick but McIntosh checks it.

David gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McIntosh is trying to pull guard but David turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
McIntosh blocks a body shot from David.
McIntosh misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from David.
David can't break the clinch.
David swings wildly with an uppercut but McIntosh uses good head movement to avoid it.
McIntosh scores a nice knee to the body.
David doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McIntosh prevents the takedown attempt.
McIntosh is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. David is defending well for now.
David is looking to break free of the clinch but McIntosh has double underhooks.
David can't break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
David tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McIntosh's elbow.
McIntosh leaning against his opponent.
David slowing the pace effectively.
David is defending well against a takedown attempt.
David is trying to force a seperation but McIntosh has the dominant position.
David stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
David is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

McIntosh has picked David up - he's going for a ride! McIntosh dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McIntosh is breathing heavily.
David desperately trying to maintain half guard.
McIntosh is looking to stall here but David recovers full guard.

David has his hands on McIntosh's head, controlling the position.
David bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McIntosh's guard.

David is pushing down on McIntosh's leg trying to pass to half guard. McIntosh is fighting to maintain full guard but David has managed to sneak the leg through.

David is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

BOOM! David connects with a massive shot to the dome!

David lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McIntosh holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as David tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
David controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samuel David dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McIntosh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McIntosh shoots for a double leg takedown but David sprawls well. He's pushed McIntosh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and McIntosh counters with a single leg into guard. David didn't expect that.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
David slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
David advances position into side control!

David decides to take the fight back to the feet.
David misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
David has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McIntosh is landing a low percentage of strikes.
David shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McIntosh but McIntosh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
McIntosh looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

David shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McIntosh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
David passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McIntosh parries the strikes from David easily there. David is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable McIntosh to escape.
David cracks McIntosh with a big elbow.

David has hold of McIntosh's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McIntosh seems comfortable defending it but David has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McIntosh is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McIntosh is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but David couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Samuel David!
