Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pat Verbeek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Eremeev!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verbeek moves out of range as Eremeev strikes.
As Eremeev backs away, Verbeek returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Eremeev scores with a hook to the body. Verbeek takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Verbeek feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Eremeev's calf.
Verbeek throws a hook to the side of Eremeev's head but Eremeev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Eremeev misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Eremeev uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Verbeek.
Eremeev tests Verbeek's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Eremeev lands with an uppercut that bounces Verbeek off the cage and back into range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Eremeev, as that shot connected.
Eremeev throws a shot from downtown. Verbeek moves away and avoids it.
Good exchange - Eremeev coming out on top.
Eremeev fails with a takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Verbeek moves away from the strike by Eremeev.
A little feinted left hand from Verbeek on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eremeev misses with a left hand
and Verbeek counters with a straight right hand.
Eremeev avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Verbeek moves out of range of the strikes.
Eremeev stuns Verbeek with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Verbeek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Verbeek goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Andrey Eremeev has been cut.
Verbeek walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Eremeev fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Verbeek on the side of the head.
Eremeev is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Eremeev keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Pat Verbeek is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Eremeev throws an off balance right hand
and Verbeek counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Eremeev throws a body shot but no joy.
Andrey Eremeev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eremeev misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Verbeek.
Verbeek has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Guerrilla MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Verbeek fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Verbeek takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Eremeev jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Eremeev avoids the body shot from Verbeek.
Eremeev has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eremeev connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Eremeev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Verbeek.
Verbeek scores with a nice right hand.
A jab from Verbeek does it's job there.


Eremeev is rocked!
Eremeev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Eremeev throws a right hand that misses
and Verbeek makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Eremeev is still on wobbly legs! Can Verbeek finish him?
Eremeev looks winded!
Verbeek cracks Eremeev with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

During a confident post fight interview, Pat Verbeek thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
