PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ajax Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asato Mikio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikio has chosen Ain't No Grave as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikio misses with a low kick.

It seemed like Mikio was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Armstrong drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mikio looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mikio looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mikio!

Mikio takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mikio takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Armstrong takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Mikio connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Armstrong tumbling to the canvas! Mikio pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Armstrong was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Asato Mikio!
A very excited looking Asato Mikio rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
