Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chase Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony Clark is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chase Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Clark!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark shoots in but Walsh avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Walsh leaves Clark with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Walsh gets caught flat footed, as Clark shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clark not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Walsh punching to the body, from the bottom.
Walsh looking for a sweep. Not yet Walsh, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Walsh looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Walsh wants to get back to his feet but Clark is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Clark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walsh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Clark sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Walsh wants to sweep here but Clark controlling him for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Clark fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Walsh drops down looking for a counter takedown but Clark sprawls and moves away.
Chase Walsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Clark.
Clark closes the distance and clinches up with Walsh, looking for a takedown. Clark pushes Walsh against the cage but Walsh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Walsh drops down looking for a counter takedown but Clark sprawls and moves away.
Clark goes for a double leg but Walsh avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Walsh continues to drive forward.
Clark dives in and grabs Walsh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walsh pushes down on Clark's head and hops out.
Clark looks winded!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Clark is defended easily by Walsh.

Walsh tries to stand but Clark is controlling from the bottom.

Walsh working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Walsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walsh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Walsh working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Clark's head.
Walsh content to stall in guard here.
Walsh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Clark is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Clark fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Walsh to the ground. Clark is now in Walsh's guard.
Clark works over Walsh with some ground and pound from guard.
Clark is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Clark prevents Walsh from getting back to his feet.
Clark has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Las Vegas. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clark with a nice head shot there.
Walsh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Clark slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Walsh is trying to control the position but Clark postures up.
Clark's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Walsh is pulling down on Clark's head. It's preventing any offense from Clark, at least for the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Walsh preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chase Walsh will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Walsh fails with an attempt to clinch.

Clark shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Clark was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Walsh is trying to improve his position.
Walsh is letting Clark control him for a moment.
Clark connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Walsh some visible discomfort.
Walsh gets back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark lands with a punch from half guard.
Walsh gets full guard.

Walsh pushes Clark off and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walsh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Clark fails with the takedown

and Walsh counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Walsh.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clark wants to stand and escape but Walsh is having none of it.

Clark is breathing heavily.
Walsh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Clark is looking to stand up but Walsh isn't so interested in that idea.

Walsh pushes a forearm under Clark's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Clark is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
