The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kami rushes Wannabe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Wannabe tries to pull guard but Kami holds him up against the cage and eventually Wannabe drops back down to his feet.
Kami tries to land knees in the clinch but Wannabe avoids the damage to the body.
Kami lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wannabe backwards.

Kami has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wannabe regains guard immediately.
Kami advances position into side control!
Wannabe on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Wannabe takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Wannabe stops Kami from passing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
