Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thurman Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Torrent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torrent looks to land a combination but Wallace avoids it well.
Wallace blocks a head kick by Torrent.
Torrent darts in and clinches Wallace up against the cage.

Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wallace is trying to maintain a safe position but Torrent gets an underhook and turns Wallace into the cage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Torrent decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Torrent seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Torrent takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Wallace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Torrent fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wallace to the ground. Torrent is now in Wallace's guard.
Wallace manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Torrent feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Let's hope that Torrent has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Torrent connects with a nice short shot to Wallace's temple.
Torrent has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wallace is looking to control Torrent's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wallace avoid being mounted?
Torrent lands with a punch from half guard.
Torrent looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Torrent wants to stand but Wallace has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Paul Torrent has got the better of the ground game so far.
Torrent is nestled in close to Wallace, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Wallace wants to control the action here but instead Torrent manages to pass to full mount!

Torrent has control of Wallace's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wallace regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Torrent cracks Wallace with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Torrent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Torrent! Wallace is hurt baaadly! Torrent is firing away with more strikes - Wallace is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
