Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Keller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kumi Keijo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kumi Keijo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Floyd Keller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kumi Keijo!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keijo dives in and grabs Keller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Keller pushes down on Keijo's head and hops out.

Keijo clinches with his opponent.
Keijo misses with an elbow over the top.
Keller fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Keller decides to pull guard.
Keller wants to improve his position but instead Keijo has moved into half guard.

Keijo is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keijo prevents Keller from improving his position.
Keller misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Keller is looking to improve his position.
Keller flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Keller wants to control but Keijo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Keller throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Keller looks like he's trying to stand up.
Keijo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Keller wants to improve his position but Keijo is controlling well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Keller moves into full guard.
Keijo trying to control the position from guard on top but Keller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Keller tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Keijo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Keller is staying active underneath Keijo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Keller flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A slow jab from Keller misses its intended target.
Keijo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Keller defends it well.

Keijo moves into the clinch.
Keller fails to pull guard.
Keller jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Keijo walks away with a smile on his face. Keller gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Floyd Keller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keijo blocks a head kick by Keller.

Keijo moves into range and clinches up with Keller.
Keller blocks an elbow strike.

Keller is trying to pull guard but Keijo has him pressed against the cage.
Keller fails to pull guard.
Keller is trying to pull guard but Keijo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Keijo obliges.
Keijo prevents Keller from breaking the clinch.
Keller stalls.
Keijo pushes off an throws an elbow but Keller leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Keijo throws an elbow but it's blocked.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Floyd Keller's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Keijo has Keller up against the cage in a clinch.
Keller tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Keijo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Keller misses with a hook to the ribs.
Keijo tries to break the clinch but Keller is controlling the position.
Keller tries to pull guard but Keijo forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Keller misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keller fails to pull guard.
Keller tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Keijo smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Floyd Keller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keijo shoots in but no luck this time.

Keijo closes the distance and pushes Keller back into the cage.
Keijo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Keller is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Keijo to keep the fight standing.

Keijo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A right handed body shot lands from Keller.
Keijo is trying to stall.
The referee calls for Keller to work.
Keller tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Keijo just stands there and leans against the cage.

Keijo misses with an elbow strike.
Keijo creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Keijo is trying to break the clinch but Keller has him pressed against the cage.
Keller fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Keijo pulls Keller into guard.
Keijo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Keller drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Keijo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Keller has Keijo in his guard.

Keller thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Keller throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Keijo escapes and throws Keller's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Keller is looking to reverse the position.

Keijo stands up and beckons Keller to his feet.
Keller misses with a left hand
and Keijo counters with a three punch combo that has Keller backing up. Keller nods at Keijo to acknowledge the strikes.

Keller clinches up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Keller jumps guard but Keijo stands there with Keller around his waist. Keller gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Keijo trying to control but Keller is working from the bottom.
Keller throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Keller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Keijo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Keijo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Keijo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kumi Keijo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Keller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Keller is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Keller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Keijo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Keijo closes the distance and pushes Keller back into the cage.
Keijo looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Keijo can't find room to land a body shot as Keller controls the action.
Keller jumps guard but Keijo stands there with Keller around his waist. Keller gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Keijo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Keijo working Keller over with knees to the body.
Keijo throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Keijo connects with a nasty looking knee right to Keller's face.
Keijo avoiding damage as Keller throws knees to the body.
Keijo lands an elbow that stopped Keller in his tracks for a moment.

Keller blocks an elbow strike from Keijo.
Keijo misses with a punch on the inside.

Keijo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Keijo clinches up against the cage.

Keijo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Keller rushes Keijo and presses him up against the cage.

Keller manages to pull guard.
Keller throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Keijo wants to stand but Keller is controlling his posture from full guard.

Keller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Keijo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Keller wants to get back to his feet but Keijo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Keller has a closed guard, preventing Keijo from standing up.
Keller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Keller is on top in guard.

Keller won't allow Keijo to get back to his feet.
Keijo trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kumi Keijo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Keijo working a defensive guard but Keller manages to pass into side control anyway.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Keijo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kumi Keijo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Keijo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kumi Keijo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
