Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Quinn Mcdonagh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen Conquistador as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Quinn Mcdonagh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Walker!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker ducks under a wild hook from Quinn Mcdonagh.
As Quinn Mcdonagh backs off Walker throws a huge counter combo but Quinn Mcdonagh manages to avoid it all.

Quinn Mcdonagh tries to keep at a distance but Walker has taken the fight into the clinch.

Quinn Mcdonagh breaks from the clinch.
Walker takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Quinn Mcdonagh scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Quinn Mcdonagh throws a combination that misses

and Walker counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Quinn Mcdonagh keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully.
Walker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Walker wants to stand but Quinn Mcdonagh is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Quinn Mcdonagh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walker is looking to work some ground and pound but Quinn Mcdonagh has wrist control.
Quinn Mcdonagh wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Walker manages to pass to side control.
Walker throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Quinn Mcdonagh to regain full guard.
Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Walker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Walker stops Quinn Mcdonagh from standing up.
Walker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Walker throws an elbow that misses. Quinn Mcdonagh uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walker's guard. Nice move by Quinn Mcdonagh!

Walker controls Quinn Mcdonagh momentarily but Quinn Mcdonagh frees himself.

Walker is working an open guard so Quinn Mcdonagh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Quinn Mcdonagh lands a head shot.

Walker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Walker with a flurry of punches that miss.
Walker won't allow Quinn Mcdonagh to get back to his feet.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Walker working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Quinn Mcdonagh scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Walker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've been told by Quinn Mcdonagh's head coaches at RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
James Quinn Mcdonagh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Walker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Quinn Mcdonagh.
Walker shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Quinn Mcdonagh throws a series of punches but Walker moves out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Walker misses with a takedown attempt - Quinn Mcdonagh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Quinn Mcdonagh punishes Walker's body with a nice straight punch.
Walker looks winded!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Quinn Mcdonagh works Walker's body with a nice hook.

Quinn Mcdonagh feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Walker sprawling to the canvas! Walker rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Quinn Mcdonagh finish him?!


Walker is rocked!


It looks like Luke Walker has been cut.
Quinn Mcdonagh cracks Walker's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Walker slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Quinn Mcdonagh can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). James Quinn Mcdonagh!
James Quinn Mcdonagh seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
