The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gold lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres looking for a guillotine here but Gold defends easily.
Gold wants to control from the top but Torres keeps moving.
Torres working for a triangle but Gold defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torres is looking for a triangle but Gold pushes his legs off easily.

Torres looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gold is one step ahead there.
Gold is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Torres has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gold is looking to defend but Torres has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gold! Torres pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gold taps out and this one is all over!
