Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Reulas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Rembrandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rembrandt is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "We will rock you" by Queen. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Reulas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Corey Rembrandt!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reulas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rembrandt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rembrandt tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Reulas tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Reulas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rembrandt is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rembrandt struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rembrandt is looking to reverse the position.

Reulas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Reulas wants to control but Rembrandt is keeping him busy.

Reulas is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rembrandt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
You can see the frustration on Rembrandt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Reulas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rembrandt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rembrandt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reulas wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Reulas tries to advance to mount but can't.
Rembrandt is looking to regain half guard here but Reulas keeps moving and retains side control.
Reulas trying to control the position but Rembrandt is working away.

Reulas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rembrandt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rembrandt is trying to strike from the bottom but Reulas has passed into full mount.
Rembrandt holds on for dear life.

Reulas working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Rembrandt tries to hold on but Reulas pushes him away.
Rembrandt just holding on.
Rembrandt tries to control Reulas's body but Reulas pushes him off. Rembrandt squirms to his side and now Reulas has his back!
Rembrandt tries to break free.

Rembrandt is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Reulas gets his way!

Rembrandt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reulas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reulas wants to control but Rembrandt is keeping busy.
I really don't envy Rembrandt right now.
Rembrandt looking very determined here, making life difficult for Reulas.
Rembrandt is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Reulas.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Reulas has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Rembrandt has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rembrandt gets a takedown into half guard.

Reulas is pressing down on Rembrandt's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rembrandt keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reulas's head.
Rembrandt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Reulas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rembrandt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rembrandt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rembrandt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reulas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rembrandt has managed to get both his arms back between Reulas's legs - danger averted.

Rembrandt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Reulas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rembrandt defends it easily.
Rembrandt is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Reulas has an active guard here but Rembrandt has managed to pass into half guard.

Reulas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rembrandt pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rembrandt looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Oh Reulas is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rembrandt slips a nice elbow through Reulas's hands, connecting with Reulas's forehead.
Rembrandt lands a big elbow - Reulas is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Rembrandt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corey Rembrandt!
Corey Rembrandt decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
