The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh Negi moves in looking to clinch but Channings pushes him off.

Singh Negi looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Channings goes for a double leg but Singh Negi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Singh Negi continues to drive forward.

Channings shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Singh Negi sprawls well. Singh Negi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Channings gets slowly back to his feet.

Clayton Channings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Singh Negi moves into the clinch successfully.

Channings breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Channings cracks Singh Negi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Singh Negi tries to clinch up but Channings circles away and keeps his distance.

Channings has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Singh Negi is trying to keep an underhook but Channings manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Singh Negi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Channings. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Channings connects with a nice short shot to Singh Negi's temple.
Channings is nestled in close to Singh Negi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
