Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by can't be touched. Maximo has chosen Diamond Rings by Chipmunk as his entrance music. Darius Maximo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Maximo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gomi trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Maximo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Gomi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Maximo is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maximo has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Gomi doesn't defend quickly enough and Maximo has managed to lock this one up! Can Gomi escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Maximo on a fantastic submission victory.
