Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Sandfil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parnell Calhoun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calhoun is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by No Sleep Till Brooklyn by the Beastie Boys. Parnell Calhoun has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wade Sandfil's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wade Sandfil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Parnell Calhoun!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calhoun swats away the attempt to clinch by Sandfil.
Sandfil tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Calhoun was well out of range. Poor timing from Sandfil.
Sandfil closes the distance and clinches.
Sandfil breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Calhoun misses.
Calhoun rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sandfil moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Calhoun misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Parnell Calhoun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Calhoun closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Sandfil waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Calhoun.
Sandfil misses with the combination.
Calhoun has closed the distance and engaged Sandfil in a clinch.
Sandfil drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Calhoun gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sandfil breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Left hook, right uppercut from Calhoun.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sandfil tries to clinch but Calhoun is having none of it.

Calhoun drops Sandfil with a left and a right! Oh, Sandfil is hurt - Calhoun dives into side control looking to finish!
Sandfil is rocked!
Calhoun trying to control the action but Sandfil is working from the bottom.
Oh Sandfil is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Calhoun is putting a hurting on Sandfil here, landing some big shots from side control.
Sandfil prevents Calhoun from improving position.
Sandfil seems to have got his legs back now.
Sandfil is trying to buck Calhoun off.
Calhoun landing a few strikes.
Calhoun throwing shots but missing, from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sandfil is trying to get back to his feet.
Calhoun looking to control but instead Sandfil has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Calhoun is tying to control. Sandfil wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Calhoun decides to stand up.
Calhoun closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sandfil circles away.
Sandfil takes one on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Calhoun misses with a combination
and Sandfil counters with a one-two to the body.
Calhoun scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Calhoun closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sandfil counters with a three punch combo that has Calhoun backing up. Calhoun nods at Sandfil to acknowledge the strikes.
Wade Sandfil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sandfil is breathing heavily.
Calhoun looks to clinch
enabling Sandfil to counter with a crisp jab.
Sandfil takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Calhoun swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sandfil holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sandfil wants a takedown but no success here.
Sandfil is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wade Sandfil. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sandfil breaks from the clinch.
Calhoun is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Calhoun uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sandfil has time to react.
Sandfil misses with a series of wild punches.
Calhoun throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sandfil holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sandfil manages to break the clinch.
Calhoun tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sandfil swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Calhoun tries to clinch up but Sandfil circles away and keeps his distance.
Calhoun darts in trying to clinch
and Sandfil counters with a nice uppercut.
Calhoun moves in looking to clinch but Sandfil pushes him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Calhoun cracks Sandfil with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Calhoun tests Sandfil's chin there with a solid looking shot.
No joy there for Sandfil, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Calhoun tries to clinch but Sandfil moves away
and Sandfil counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sandfil goes for a takedown attempt but Calhoun pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Calhoun throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Calhoun throws the kick towards the body but Sandfil avoids it.
Sandfil takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Calhoun tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sandfil swivels and escapes.
Calhoun scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Calhoun throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Sandfil colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Calhoun as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Sandfil is left battered and dazed whilst Calhoun and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Parnell Calhoun!
