Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heron Palms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henzo Yamanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palms comes to the cage accompanied by #1 Bad Boy by Poison. Henzo Yamanaka acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Henzo Yamanaka!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palms shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yamanaka pinned against the cage. Yamanaka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Palms bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Yamanaka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Palms wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yamanaka explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Palms shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yamanaka sprawls well. Yamanaka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Palms gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Palms shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yamanaka is trying to defend but Palms finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yamanaka can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yamanaka is trying to stand back up but Palms is controlling him
Palms is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Palms is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Yamanaka can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Yamanaka is trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Palms working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yamanaka is bucking up trying to escape but Palms cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Palms will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Palms cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Palms working for a submission but Yamanaka is keeping him at bay.
Palms is landing with some decent strikes but Yamanaka is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Palms looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Yamanaka is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Palms looking to finish Yamanaka with some ground and pound. This is bad for Yamanaka!

Palms working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Yamanaka turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Palms off and cradles Yamanaka's limp body as Palms celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Heron Palms!
A relieved looking Heron Palms thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
