Day jabs at Lara's body.
Jako Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Day scores with a jab to the jaw.
Lara dives in for a single leg takedown but Day sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Day throws a shot to the body.
Day lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Day throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Day paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A left lands for Day.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Day lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Day.

Duane Lara's cut is getting worse.
Day throws a series of strikes that have Lara backpedaling.
Lara really is a fat lump.
Day misses with a two punch combination.
Day's coach down at Cozad MMA Sydney was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Day's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Day tests Lara's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Lara is rocked!
Day lands a nice hook to Lara's body. Lara takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Day pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lara back to the cage. Day follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Oh Lara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
