Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clyde Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Moor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King Moor has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Clyde Bates's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clyde Bates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Moor!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moor tries to close the distance and clinch but Bates swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Moor has his takedown stuffed

and Bates moves into the clinch.

Bates has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Moor uses from the top position.
Bates is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Moor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bates has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bates has his foot on Moor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moor works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bates working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Moor postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bates is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Moor, into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moor manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bates manages to get himself to full guard.

Moor wants to control from the top but Bates keeps moving.
Moor looking to sit in guard and control but Bates gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Moor throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Moor is trying to control the position but Bates postures up.
Moor wants to control but Bates passes easily into half guard.
Moor is trying to get back to full guard.

Bates throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Moor to regain full guard.
Moor trying to keep a closed guard but Bates is proving a slippery customer.
Bates seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Moor is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bates dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bates misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Moor.

and Moor makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Moor shoots in looking for a takedown but Bates manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Moor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
As Moor tries to get set, Bates tries to push him back and clinch up but Moor manages to avoid the attempt.

Bates has Moor up against the cage in a clinch.

Moor using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bates has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bates wriggles free and stands up.
Moor throws a head kick that misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Moor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Bates wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Moor connects with a high kick.


It looks like Clyde Bates has been cut.
Bates avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bates throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Moor steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Bates.
King Moor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bates feints and as Moor raises his hands in defense, Bates changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Moor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bates controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Moor managing to control the position.
Moor wants to hit a switch here but Bates passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Moor there!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moor is desperately trying to improve his position but Bates has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Moor misses with a body kick.
Bates is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Moor can do to turn this around?
Bates lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Moor not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Moor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bates does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Moor throws a strike but Bates avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Moor trying to control the position from guard on top but Bates is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Moor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bates looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bates looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bates!

Bates gets to mount! Moor was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Bates could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bates scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Moor?

Moor wants to hold on but Bates pushes him away.

Bates controlling from the full mount.
Moor is trying to escape the mount.

Bates content just to control the position here.
Bates lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bates takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Moor tries to lock up and control but Bates gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Moor is looking to improve his position but Bates isn't that keen on the idea.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Moor sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Clyde Bates showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bates has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
