Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keenan Rosales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Kirmayr !
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirmayr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rosales's guard.
Kirmayr looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rosales trying to keep a closed guard but Kirmayr is proving a slippery customer.

Rosales has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kirmayr is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Rosales tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kirmayr 's elbow.

Kirmayr gets control of Rosales's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kirmayr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Rosales has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kirmayr is proving hard to escape from.

Kirmayr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rosales keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kirmayr 's head.
Rosales wanted to stand there but Kirmayr had control of the position.

Rosales closes the distance and pushes Kirmayr back into the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Keenan Rosales will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Rosales clinches up with Kirmayr and pushes him back against the cage.
Rosales's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Keenan Rosales.
Rosales fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rosales stalling in the clinch but Kirmayr improves position.
Rosales lands a good knee to the midsection. Kirmayr won't want to take too many of those.

You can see the frustration on Rosales's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kirmayr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kirmayr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rosales is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kirmayr off and has taken his back!

Rosales is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Rosales is trying to stick to Kirmayr 's back but Kirmayr is turning into Rosales. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rosales's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kirmayr .
Kirmayr working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rosales is looking to stand up but Kirmayr isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kirmayr looking to sit in guard and control but Rosales gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Rosales decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Rosales is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kirmayr can do to turn this around?
Rosales tries to clinch but Kirmayr moves out of range.
Rosales has a takedown stuffed.
Keenan Rosales is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rosales closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rosales lands in his opponent's guard.
Rosales wants to get up but he can't break Kirmayr 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rosales wants to stand but Kirmayr is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Rosales's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Kirmayr throws a head kick that misses.
Rosales fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And Kirmayr tries to counter it with a takedown but Rosales pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Kirmayr gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rosales to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kirmayr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kirmayr is staying active underneath Rosales, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rosales stands up out of the half guard.
Crunch! Rosales slams his shin into Kirmayr 's torso.
Rosales shoots in looking for a takedown but Kirmayr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rosales's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rosales fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keenan Rosales. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rosales shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kirmayr as he jumps to the side.

Kirmayr looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rosales!

Rosales throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kirmayr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rosales.

Rosales gets tackled into the cage by Kirmayr . Kirmayr maintains the clinch.

Rosales tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kirmayr paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rosales is looking to clinch but Kirmayr is avoiding it.
Kirmayr stuffs the takedown attempt from Rosales. Rosales gets slowly back to his feet.
Kirmayr looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Rosales is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kirmayr .

Rosales tries for a takedown. No joy.
Rosales fails to pull guard.
Rosales is pushing Kirmayr up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Rosales stalling the fight.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Rosales for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Kirmayr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kirmayr looks to throw a body kick
and Rosales counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Richard Kirmayr .
I think Rosales has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
